Kent Krause writes content for online high school history courses and social studies textbooks. He holds bachelor's and master's degrees from Iowa State University, and a doctorate from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition to his seven books, he has published articles in Great Plains Quarterly and The International Journal of the History of Sport. The Society for American Baseball Research selected Wahoo Sam Crawford: The King of Sluggers as a finalist for the 2022 Larry Ritter Award. Kent lives in Nebraska with his wife Jill.
